Movies:
The Woodsman: Brilliant, brilliant. So well shot & acted. The colors & cinematography amazing. The score I loved immediately. Same fellows who did Monster's Ball, and unfortunately the score was not released.
Closer: ouch.
Deathtrap: An old favorite.
the Haunting (1964): So worth it.
the Haunting (200?): Ew. Seriously, ew. Talk about destroying a perfectly good story.
The Staircase series on IFC
Carnivale, HBO series...which I was savoring slowly by watching on HBO on Demand. Then last night I settled down to watch the last three episodes of the season only to discovered they had removed Carnivale from the available viewing list. GOD DAMMIT.
Reefer Madness, the original.
Caine Mutiny: what delicious fun...
Heidi Fleiss, Hollywood Madame: I was bored outta my mind 10 minutes into it. Who gives a flying fuck about these privledged, narcissitic people? The documentary was done by Nick Broomfield who also did the documentary Alieen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer. This guy is the worst documentary filmmaker I have ever seen, & his slimy voiceovers don't help. These are the only two works I have seen of his, but my opinion is RUN...run from him like the plague.
So many more I can't remember...
